July 19th 1937 - the exhibition "Degenerate Art"

Nazi Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels during a speech about the innovations of German cultural life and the removal of all that is “non-German” from the arts. It is a acknowledgment of the exhibition "Degenerate Art" which opened on July 19th of 1937 in Munich, and in which works of artists, who were internationally renowned, but ostracized in Germany, were shown to a wide audience. Amongst the artists rejected by the Nazis were Marc Chagall, Otto Dix, Paul Klee and Ernst Barlach.
