Nov 22nd, 1963 - John F. Kennedy assassination

On November 22nd, 1963 John F. Kennedy was on a campaign trip for re-election in Dallas, Texas. He drove through downtown Dallas in a convertible. Around 12:30 pm, passing the Dealey Plaza, he was struck by several shots. Nearly an hour and a half later, an alleged assassination suspect named Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested. Two days later Oswald was shot dead before he could ever be indicted and while in police custody, in a parking garage by Jack Ruby,. West Berlin was also grieving for the patron saint of the city. In Washington, a million people took part in the funeral service. Kennedy was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. A commission was set up to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the assassination of Kennedy. It came to the conclusion that Oswald was the sole culprit and that there was no conspiracy to murder the president. However, further investigations revealed, the government had kept significant information away from the Commission. To date, the mystery about the Kennedy assassination has not been solved beyond a reasonable doubt.
